As this band is famous for having all four photogenic British-Canadian girls, almost all of their videos have featured Melanie, Shaznay and the Appleton sisters. The theme that has always been depicted in All Saints Video concept is simpler than those of Spice Girls. In most of the songs the band has tried to illustrate the direct meaning of the song. The list in All Saints Video album is; I know where it's at, Never Ever, Under the Bridge and Bootie Call. This was released in the year 1998. There are more videos that are available on DVD only. DVD being the second video album contains videos of; Lady Marmalade, Pure Shores, Black Coffee and All Hooked up. The first video album i.e. The Video, was released under the label of London Records and contains All Saints public performances and some of heir interviews on MTV and a Japanese video of If You want to Party, while the DVD was released by Warner Music Vision. The first All Saints Video album was an immense hit as it appeared on the charts. Appearance on charts means the popularity of both the video and the song itself. All Saints Video for Black coffee represents a girl going through a pre-breakup hang up phase and still wants to stay bonded with her boyfriend. In the video except for the two models this British Girl Group also makes a few appearances while they rap and sing around. In another video, I Know where it's at, these four singers have been in the focus and no other model appears. They try to convey a little attitude in accordance with the lyrics. All Saints Video and their graphics have been breathtaking yet simpler in content which had a greater appeal and were more popular. British Girl Group had enjoyed the fame of their fate but people say most of the credit also goes to All Saints Video concept as the band came out in the market by releasing a video and not by a public appearance of their own. The first video released open their way to a larger audience and greater fame. All Saints Video for the song Bootie Call was a black & white video and showed somewhat malevolent concept in a light and humorous way. They show three telephone booths and people relating to different disciplines of life talking in their own way. This British Girl Group was also famous for depicting contrasting yet easy to understand concepts in videos. Another hit "Pure Shores" was sung for the movie "The Beach" and was produced by William Orbit, depicts a pure life like water in the sea and soothing like the wind at the shores. For this band, All Saints Video concepts were marvelous and are said to an added attraction of their songs. |
